About the Land, 2011



Following on from of Art on the Rocks in 2006 and a Walk of Art in 2009 came About the Land culminating once again in an exhibition at Broomhill Art Hotel.



As with the other two projects the work produced was the result of regular meetings and collaborative working in and around the landscape of North Devon.

This third collaboration enabled me to continue building upon my renewed interest in recording and responding directly from the landscape and I found myself returning to my long-term interest in the natural processes at work along the beach and in particular the marks and forms left behind by the changing tides and weather conditions as well as the traces of the existence of marine life.
